Project Description

Because of the corona wave, the death rate of human life is growing rapidly, worldwide.

On the second wave of COVID-19, we are losing highest numbers of our Hindu friends and neighbours, especially in India and Nepal day by day, hour by hour. In India and Nepal, people are losing their life because of the shortage of oxygen. It’s a terrible fact that we are losing our beloved one’s life, because of not having enough oxygen cylinders in hospitals (bed).

We have to be serious about our environment! It inspired us to learnt an important lessons of why we have to save our environment, which give us oxygen, the primary factor to survive. Why trees are primary factor for living beings and why we have to preserve our green forest is the main lessons that we can learn from this crisis. So, here I am encouraging our Hindu friends to add their contribution to enlarge our green environment.

The increasing numbers of the death of our Hindu friends in this pandemic requires more fire cremations to allow the Hindu souls to travel.

For a Hindu this is a non-discussable essential as this is tradition, culture and faith for them. Unfortunately, this results into rapid decline of woods like trees and bushes, which are very necessary for all of us.

Therefore, we need to establish an alternative solution that respects the tradition as well as preserve, restore and sustain the environment.

Trees are there to produce oxygen, are habitats for other species and they are a column part into the climate cooling process of the local microclimate as well as the rain harvesting. We in www. HomeBase-Earth.org produce solution which are both, respectful and beneficial

The Soul Tree Project: Since every cremation will need about an estimate of 1 cubic meter (cbm) wood or about 400 kg, I want to ask the families – blessed with a new child -, to plant 3 little tree seeds in pots and bring them to a stage where they can be plant into a forest. The family shall receive them form the community. The local community shall also address an area which needs new forestation in order of climate, water, and other sustainable issues.

After the family grew the seeds in pots at their house till they are big enough, they have family ceremony while planting them into the forest ground. The trees will carry the names of Mom and Dad and the child and are brought up with love from the entire family.

Benefits
For the parents this is the honorarium to thank them to add a new life to the community. For the child, it is a life long fellow to go through good and bad times. The tree will always be there, and the child can always visit and give admiration as well as share his feelings.

The tree will also give fire for the last journey on earth, once Mom and Dad and the child pass away. Please imagine how nice it is to be on the last journey covered from a fire that is from the own live tree that went with you trough times and shared the same living years. By then the tree will carry far more than the needed amount of wood and will live on as a living memory of the passed away.

Process
The harvesting of wood shall start after the tree is older than 10 years. If the child or tree owner goes in earlier years, the needed wood shall be taken in small amounts from the forest, out of other trees.

The left behind trees from those that went young under 10 become Red Ribbon Trees and are holy. They remind us how fast we can die as well as tell us to concentrate on the essentials.

These trees are places that any party shall use for mediation and settlements of disputes.

For generations Hindus took out trees for their individual rituals that serve their believes. That caused some unintentional harm to the environment.

Since there will be a holy forest of name trees after a while that will constantly grow, the amount of the former reduction will be overgrown. This will bring good karma to the existing generation that started the system, as well to the ancestors’ forefathers. What about the other non-Hindu people that also want to have name trees?

Trees are very livelihood individuals that we can go into interacting if we want. The idea of trees showing the honour of birth as well as being there in every live situation will also attract other community members to follow the same idea. Just they will not harvest the wood for the funerals. So, in the designated new live forest terrains shall be also the right for every other baby family to plant three trees. Every tree will help us to restore the climate.

Since these trees will over last their planters, we design a planting grid that makes the forest so strong that even an intense take outs for the Hindu cremation wood – will not weaken the forest in total.

We want to kindly ask you today:
Start initiate into your family, your community in cooperation with your political parties. This sustainable and very low budget scheme to become reality from today on. There is a high demand to replant what you took out before, and there is no argument to postpone this very simple solution. Bless all new baby families with your support in this matter. Share today this idea as far as you can carry it on.
